Sludge and Contaminated Soil Treatment Service
The sludge resulting from the plant’s wastewater treatment process must be managed properly since they may still contain contaminants from the treated wastewater. Depending on the composition of the sludge, they can be treated with land farming bioremediation.
Sludge or contaminated soil may also result in the cleaning processes of tanks, tank bottoms, decontamination of industrial facilities, transportation spills, among others.
These may also be treated with the land farming bioremediation.
Sludge and soil treatment process at our El Dindal – Aipe, Huila Plant
The land farming process at the TWM El Dindal initially consists in the homogenization of all the material to be treated, then adding nutrients, aerating it and controlling the humidity in order to remove the organic material such as hydrocarbons until the material reaches final disposal conditions at a value below 1% in total oil hydrocarbons.
Sludge and soil that can be treated in the land farming bioremediation in the El Dindal Plant:
- Sludge from domestic wastewater treatment plant.
- Sludge from oil refining, deposits and transformation of petrochemical industrial coal.
- Dehydrated sludge from car washes and yellow machinery.
- Cavity sanitation of sludge and soil of industrial facilities. Contaminated soils due to spills of hydrocarbons and derivatives.
